Medical University – Sofia is now officially part of the Alliance for Life Sciences: From Strategies to Actions in Central and Eastern Europe (Alliance for Natural Sciences: from strategies to actions in Central and Eastern Europe) and a beneficiary of the Horizon programme H2020-SC1-BHC-2018- 2020 / H2020-SC1-2020-Single-Stage-RTD.
Partners in the Alliance are the Czech universities Masarykova univerzita and FAKULTNI NEMOCNICE U SV. ANNY in Brno, the Slovak University BIOMEDICINSKE CENTRUM SLOVENSKEJ AKADEMIE VIED, the Polish University UNIVERSYTET MEDYCZNY W LODZI, the Croatian University SVEUCILISTE U ZAGREBU MEDICINSKI FAKULTET, the Estonian University TASU UNIVERSITY t LATVIJAS ORGANISKAS SINTEZES INSTITUTS, the Slovenian university UNIVERZA V LJUBLJANI, the Hungarian university SEMMELWEIS EGYETEM and the Romanian university UNIVERSITATEA DE MEDICINA SI FARMACIE CAROL DAVILA DIN BUCURESTI.
The aim of the project is to achieve higher results in research, innovation and development (R&I) in a region with lower achievements in these areas, such as CEE. Alliance4Life should build a network of progressive health research institutions in CEE and foster an organizational culture in them that promotes excellent performance.
